Did you know that the air inside your home is probably more polluted than the air outside? The average home contains 62 toxic chemicals swirling around and comfortably settling in your carpet, on your pillow, and on your toothbrush. Clear out the chemicals with condiments from your pantry. Yes.

1. Cheap and Easy Pantry Ingredients! If you want a really easy, inexpensive, and all-natural way to get clean this Spring, make your own cleaning products using white vinegar, salt, oil, and water. Pull them out and lets get started!

The Mood Rocking Bed

Posted by Katy Wally

Rocking chairs are so passe, especially since rocking beds are the new IT items in the design world. Case in point, the Mood Rocking Bed, which has been designed by Joe Manus. The bed can be used both indoors or outdoors, and the idea is to rock yourself to sleep. Made of a carbon steel frame and a wooden base of pine, oak, walnut or calico, the bed is truly rocking.

Have you seen the latest in the online magazine world?  Entra is an enjoyable publication that covers design and architecture and this month (it’s inaugural debut) it featured the Burbank, CA home of Charles Hollis Jones.  Charles home is very personal and interesting, but his garden is unlike any I have seen before.  It is an all white fantasy (complete with a matching puppy) furnished with clear perspex furniture that was designed by Charles himself.

What I love most is how the garden is so clearly tied in with the decor of the house and it all flows smartly from one to the other.  (check out the full spread here – it starts on page 206)

Whether you decorate the room in a gender-neutral theme or a theme that reflects what you love, it’s easy to pull the room together with personal, diy projects. Here are five of our favorite nurseries, each chock full of inspiration.

1. Forest Themed Nursery It’s the details that count, from the hand-sewn quilt, to the painted side table, to the altered drapery. This beautiful room is so soothing and calm, and will definitely grow with your child.

2. Football Themed Room This room is full of sports gear, including a photo mural, framed covers of football books, and a vintage football lamp found on ebay. Go team!

3. Vintage Army Theme With Mom in the reserves and Dad currently a soldier, an vintage army theme seemed natural for this baby boy.
